Fairies are gentle creatures that are no threat to the Enchanted Hierarchy, but that doesn’t stop someone from threatening Aster for being best friends with the vampyre-faye queen. Now, the most handsome demon is kneeling in front of Aster, vowing to lay his life on the line to protect her. She’s speechless and captivated. She’s no one, but she doesn’t feel like no one when Thatch looks at her. As they spend time together, she finds that she wants to be near Thatch more and more. Soon, she wants nothing more than to call him hers.
Demons aren’t supposed to volunteer to be a fairy’s bodyguard, but that is exactly what Thatch does. He will do anything to keep Aster safe. Not because the demon lord has tasked him with this duty, but because he’s head-over-horns for her. When the threats escalate and the vampyre-faye queen goes missing, Thatch is determined to make sure nothing will happen to Aster, too. As he performs his bodyguard duties, he gives Aster his heart in every way and hopes that one day he’ll have the right to call her his.
Tropes: forbidden lovers, he calls her ‘baby doll,’ fairy magick, vibrator play, size difference, he carries her…a lot, flowerology, a “marshmallow” of a demon, Pride & Prejudice references
